Hotel Haya

Hotel Haya

Location: Ybor, Tampa, FL

Description: Located just northeast of downtown, Ybor City is the only neighborhood on Florida’s west coast to be designated a National Historic Landmark District. Aside from Ybor being Tampa’s playground, Ybor has a thriving influx of growing corporations and small businesses, eclectic retail, diverse restaurants, and a growing number of new residential units.

Construction started in March of 2018 on the Ybor hotel to be later named Hotel Haya. As the first boutique hotel in the neighborhood, the property weaves the influence of historic Ybor City with contemporary features, evoking a “mid-century Cuban” aesthetic from the 1950s Golden Age of Havana. Common areas include exposed brick walls, classic art, and a vintage neon “HAYA” sign.

Hotel Haya describes its vibe as “Old Ybor City charm meets modern flair.” That means honoring the melting pot of cultures and flavors that are true to Ybor. With new brick buildings. 7th Avenue is a shining example of Ybor city’s rebirth. It all comes together at Hotel Haya. Through careful renovation and reimagining, the iconic past of Ybor and thoughtful new construction join together in the boutique hotel blending reverence for history and optimism for the future.
