Publix Island Way

Description: Publix was founded in 1930 in Winter Haven, Florida by George W. Jenkins. They are the largest employee owned grocery store in the United States. They are one of the 10 largest-volume supermarket chains in the country. Their retail sales reached $34.6 billion in 2017. They currently employ over 190,000 people. In March of 2016 Publix filed for a permit to tear down the 31,000 square foot store at 200 Island Way with the intention of building a 32,169 square foot store with a parking structure on the first floor and the Publix store on the second floor.
Raynor Scope of Work: Raynor Company Group was employed with the task of renovating this structure by producing a complete exterior cladding system that included exterior stucco system with faux siding, Coquina shell stucco, and an EIFS system with corbels, bands & molding with decorative louvers. These systems required framing and lathing with an elevation of 50′. Raynor Company Group provided quality workmanship on the project while incorporating numerous finish products. Work began in May of 2017 and when it was completed in January 2018, the Publix Island Way emerged from the rubble.
